S.I.T.E.
(Specialists for International Training and
Education)
S.I.T.E.
provides specialists and coordinates resources and
networks for international programs related to training
opportunities and educational development.
In response to an increasing global demand for expertise in
training and education, specialists are placed overseas to
enhance skill development. The need for specialists worldwide
and the acquisition of quality academic programs are two
highly valued commodities.
U.S. Nursing Shortage Initiative
S.I.T.E. is currently working with
Legacy Services Group
and the
Consortium for
Global Education
to assist with training programs for nurses to help relieve
the current U.S. shortages.
Education and training expertise
can be shared internationally through distance education,
collaborative research, and integrated faculties. English has
become the mode for communication of information within both
the business and educational arenas worldwide. Specialists can
effectively be linked to overseas universities, colleges and
national institutes to develop programs for the advancement of
training and education.
Worldwide
there are two consistent requests related to education and
training:
- English
speaking professionals within the fields of education
related to teaching, business, medicine and law.
- English
speaking trainers who can initiate support and resources
for overseas opportunities related to teaching, business,
medicine and law.
Strategic use
of skilled teachers and trainers enhances success for meeting
overseas educational and skill development needs in
universities, institutes, and training centers. S.I.T.E. will
link overseas opportunities and specialists to provide
advanced skill acquisition through academic programs,
continuing education, professional workshops, and seminars.
S.I.T.E.’s
objectives are:
- To
coordinate with overseas universities, colleges,
institutes and training centers for placement and support
of S.I.T.E. representatives; (i.e. faculty, lecturers,
trainers, and student researchers).
- To provide
logistical support including letters and documentation for
S.I.T.E. representatives.
- To provide
grants, and fellowships for S.I.T.E. representatives.
- To organize
assistance from S.I.T.E. supporters for current
educational and training resources.
- To promote
project development for overseas initiated opportunities
in S.I.T.E. locations.
- To design
workshops and seminars with overseas partners that enhance
needed professional and skill development.
- To provide a
network base for educational development and training
materials, including on-line resources.
